Andrew combines extensive mission experience with strong operational and financial skills. Having lived and worked in Afghanistan, he brings valuable cross-cultural insight alongside careful organisational leadership. Andrew has more than 25 years of experience leading projects and programmes in a variety of settings and, over the last eight years, he has played an active role in Afghan Bible ministry.

Since beginning his publishing work in Afghanistan in 2007, MR has continued producing print and digital materials. With nearly two decades of experience working with cultural and publishing organisations, he is a publishing specialist with expertise in text editing, typography, graphic design, layout, printing, and distribution. His attention to detail helps ensure publications are accessible, culturally appropriate, and meaningful to his fellow countrymen.

Jason worked in software, banking, and government technology roles before transitioning into full-time ministry with an Afghan team. He has been involved in the electronic distribution of Scripture in Afghan languages since the first Afghan Bible websites in 2006 and apps in 2010, helping shape collective digital ministry strategy and technical infrastructure.

Having helped establish Pamir Ministries, H has devoted much of his life to helping Afghans gain access to God’s Word. Through the years he has served as a coordinator for translation projects and has been involved in publishing and distribution. For over six thousand years, the mountains of Badakhshan in Afghanistan have produced lapis lazuli — one of the most prized precious stones in human history, ground for centuries into the pigment ultramarine and treasured from ancient Egypt to the great cathedrals of Europe. Scripture uses this same blue stone to describe the very foundations of God’s presence among His people, which is why its blue forms the foundation of our visual identity.
Under His feet was something like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as bright blue as the sky.
Exodus 24:10
I will rebuild you with stones of turquoise, your foundations with lapis lazuli.
Isaiah 54:11
Above the vault over their heads was what looked like a throne of lapis lazuli, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man.

We are encouraged by the references to lapis lazuli in Scripture as they remind us that God has not forgotten Afghanistan!
In Afghanistan, gold is associated with wealth and prosperity, beauty and honour. Because it is often passed down through generations, it can also be a symbol of family history, continuity, and cultural identity. When an Afghan person gives or wears gold, it represents respect and commitment, blessing and the strength of family bonds. Gifts of gold jewellery at a wedding can also express hope for the bride and groom’s future.
We have chosen to use gold for the verse on the white Bible image in our logo. The verse is Psalm 119:105 – in Dari (right) and Pashto (left).

Even Afghanistan’s most valuable natural resources have been available for sale for centuries. The Bible is a valuable resource that Afghans deserve access to, and is only now becoming available to them. Just as lapis lazuli and gold have been prized for millennia, so we long to see God’s Word prized among the peoples of Afghanistan.
